Locally higher amounts were reported along the ridges in Preston and Tucker Counties. Terra Alta in Preston County recorded 14 inches of snow, while 10 to 12 inches were reported in both Kingwood (Preston County) and Canaan Valley (Tucker County). The snowfall and icy roads were responsible for numerous minor accidents on area roadways.
