| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | A powerful winter storm brought another combination of snow and freezing rain to all of western Pennsylvania. The precipitation remained mostly snow across the west central Pennsylvania counties of Mercer, Forest and Venango where between 10 and 12 inches of snow were reported. Across southwest Pennsylvania the snow mixed with freezing rain and snowfall totals dropped off quickly as you moved from north to south. Clarion, Lawrence, Butler, Armstrong and Beaver counties all reported between 3 and 6 inches of accumulation, while the extreme southwest corner of Pennsylvania received mostly freezing rain. The freezing rain continued through the overnight hours of the 14th, with the majority of counties across western Pennsylvania reporting between 1/4 and 1/2 inch of ice accumulation. |
