| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | An Alberta Clipper moved through the Great Lakes region during the morning hours of the 10th. Snow developed across western lower Michigan during the early morning hours in advance of the system, and was further enhanced by Lake Michigan, with lake effect snow developing behind it and continuing into the early morning hours of the 11th. The most snow for the period fell from US-131 west to the lakeshore, with as much as 10 inches of snow falling in Allegan (Allegan County). 7 to 8 inches of snow fell across Mason, Oceana, and Muskegon counties. 8 to 10 inches of snow fell across Ottawa and Allegan counties, and 6 inches of snow fell across northwestern Van Buren County. Across Kent, Barry, and Kalamazoo counties, there was a very large variation in the amount of snow that fell. There were reports as high as 8 inches across far western portions of those counties, to just an inch or two across eastern portions of those counties, and also just an inch or two across most of central lower Michigan. |
