Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA powerful winter storm passed through northern Nebraska November 9 and 10. Although snowfall amounts were generally less than 4 inches, strong wind made conditions much worse than they would be otherwise. In north central Nebraska between Valentine and O'Neill, severe wind caused widespread power outages . In O'Neill the wind gusted to 62 mph. Winds higher than 50 mph were common. In other parts of the area, the storm resulted in numerous traffic accidents and widespread closings of schools and businesses.
