| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | Heavy snow was reported across the Kenai Peninsula late Thursday and Friday...with areas around Kenai and Nikiski receiving in excess of 1 foot of snow in about 18 hours...closing several schools, causing major transportation delays and resulting in several power outages for Homer Electric. At the Alyeska ski resort, worried owners were relieved at the 1 1/2 to 2 feet of new snow received at the mid and top levels. Cold arctic air, already in place across the mainland, led to areas of freezing rain as far east as the Kenai Peninsula. |
