Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA deep low pressure center that developed off the southeast coast of the United States on Monday, the 23rd, moved slowly northeastward to off the New England coast by Wednesday bringing a mixture of precipitation to the state. In the western mountains, as much as a foot of new snow fell. In the remainder of northwestern Maine, snowfall amounts were generally 4 to 7 inches. Elsewhere, the mixed precipitation changed quickly to rain and little, if any, accumulation was reported.
