The hardest hit area was the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains. A spotter from Roberts in Carbon County reported 24 inches of snow and there were several reports of 5 to 12 inches. Billings received 5 inches from this storm and Red Lodge picked up 8 to 10 inches. Traffic was brought to a near standstill in Billings on the morning of the 29th, and several roads had to be closed.
