Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeAn early season spring storm dumped heavy snow across much of South Central and southeastern Montana from the morning of March 28 to the evening of March 29. The hardest hit area was the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains. A spotter from Roberts in Carbon County reported 24 inches of snow and there were several reports of 5 to 12 inches. Billings received 5 inches from this storm and Red Lodge picked up 8 to 10 inches. Traffic was brought to a near standstill in Billings on the morning of the 29th, and several roads had to be closed. A woman driving on I-90 near Hardin rolled her vehicle on the morning of the 29th, and was treated for minor injuries.
