| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | A band of light to moderate snow developed over northern and central Maryland during the evening, as a vigorous upper-level disturbance enhanced low- and mid-level lifting of residual moisture left behind from a previous system. The snow, which fell onto relatively warm ground, produced accumulations which varied greatly with elevation. In general, accumulations along the Catoctin Mountains were between 3 and 4 inches. Higher piedmont locations of northern Frederick (MDZ004) and Carroll (MDZ005) Cos averaged 2 to 3 inches, and lower elevations reported generally around 1 inch. |
