Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA heavy, wet snow across northcentral New Mexico turned into a sudden ice pack that caused treacherous driving, especially along sections of Interstate Highways 25 and 40 mainly north and east of Albuquerque. Despite a sudden rash of accidents which closed the Interstates south of Santa Fe and east of Moriarty, no serious injuries were reported. Mountain ski areas from Red River and Taos south to Sandia Crest measured 12 to 15 inches of fresh powder snow.
