| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | A strong north to northeast upslope flow developed over northeast Colorado as a storm system tracked across northern New Mexico. Heavy snow fell portions of the northern mountains and in the foothills and Monument Ridge area west and south of Denver. Gusty northerly winds 20 to 35 mph blew across portions of Monument Ridge causing some blowing and drifting snow.Snowfall totals included: 14.5 inches at Larkspur, 14 inches near Deckers, 13 inches at Breckenridge Ski Area, 12 inches at Castle Rock and Sedalia, 11 inches at Elizabeth, with 10 inches reported at Buffalo Creek, 3 miles southwest of Conifer, Keystone and 11 miles southwest of Morrison. Elsewhere accumulations generally ranged from 5 to 8 inches. |
