Snow accumulations up to 6 inches were reported in the mountains. At lower elevations, heavy rain and small hail fell. Rainfall totals ranged from 0.50 to 1.50 inches across the coast...up to 4.00 inches in the mountains. The heavy rain produced numerous street flooding. In Alhambra, 5 high school students were swept down a wash by storm runoff. Three students died while two others survived.
