| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | On November 30, light freezing rain spread across eastern New York from south to north during the early morning hours. The freezing rain made the morning commute treacherous in most areas. Many accidents occurred during the morning and early afternoon which resulted in several road closures. Interstate 88 was closed from Rotterdam in Schenectady County through its entire length in Schoharie County. The closure lasted only one hour during the morning but portions were closed again during the late afternoon to clear several accidents. In Fulton County, state highway 29 was closed from the Village of Dolgeville to Oppenheim. The Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess and Columbia Counties, remained opened but was hazardous. The light freezing rain stopped across the southern areas by noontime but continued from the Mohawk Valley north through mid afternoon. In the southern Adirondacks and upper Hudson Valley the freezing rain changed to light snow during the early evening. |
