The snowfall began in the early morning hours in the western part of the state and moved to the east, ending by late morning. Snowfall amounts were in the one to two inch range in the Tennessee valley and eastern Alabama, with a few isolated amounts of three to four inches. Jackson, DeKalb, Clay and Cleburne counties reported three to four inches. There were a few reports of accidents, due to ice and snow on the roads. |
