| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | A winter storm affected the Southern Sierra Nevada primarily over a 2-day period beginning in the early morning hours of the 26th and continuing into the 27th. Mammoth Mountain on the eastern border of Madera County already received 3-5 feet of new snow by the early morning of the 27th. Rainfall amounts on the west side of the mountains ranged from 2 to 3 inches at elevations between 2500 to 4000 feet...and 3 inches plus from 4000 foot up to the initial snow levels of 5000 feet. Snow levels eventually lowered to just below 4000 feet as the storm passed. |
