Steady winds of 25 to 35 mph accompanied the storm with some areas gusting up to 45 mph causing drifting of snow in many areas. Some of the heavier amounts included 20 inches at Norris and Pony, 36 inches at Lewistown and 4 4 inches at Shonkin. A rancher in the Snowy Mountain foothills reported up to 5 feet of snow. The blowing snow also caused numerous road closures. |
