episode_narrativeA strong low pressure center traveling northeast just off the coast dumped 10 or more inches of snow over most of Maine. Accumulations ran as high as 21 inches in the western mountains, but were only a few inches, at most, along the immediate downeast coast, where the snow changed to rain. Wet, heavy snow caused tree branches to fall onto power lines, cutting power to at least 15,000 customers.
