| episode_narrative | The combination of some very light snow (for most the first snow of the season), road and air temperatures below freezing and heavy traffic volume because of Thanksgiving Day caused roadways to become extremely slippery and hazardous, especially on bridges and overpasses. Accumulations were less than an inch and the snow was over by 6 p.m. EST. But that was enough to cause accidents across the area. The worst conditions were over the western parts of the area. They were even worse in Northern Delaware and Eastern Pennsylvania. Interstate 78 in Hunterdon County had many accidents. The Commodore Barry Bridge was closed due to icing until 9 p.m. EST. |
