episode_narrativeWidespread blizzard conditions occurred as prolonged winds of 30 to 45 mph with gusts as high as 60 mph combined with heavy loose snow cover and light falling snow to produce whiteout conditions. Wind chills as cold as 60 below zero also occurred. Travel, schools, and many businesses were brought to a halt, motorists were stranded, and there were a few accidents. Although immediate damage was light, economic damage due to closings and possible livestock losses was suspected, but the total impact could not be determined.
