episode_narrativeA moist westerly flow brought more snow to the mountains of western Colorado. The heaviest snowfall occurred near the Continental Divide, with 6 to 12 inches common. At least 15 inches of new snow fell in the mountains around Vail. Winds were clocked in excess of 50 mph in many areas producing blowing and drifting snow. A gust to 81 mph was observed on the peaks above Snowmass.
