Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA stronger winter storm system moved into Utah. Heavy snow dumped 2-3 feet in the mountains, 7-14 inches on the benches and 2-6 inches in the valleys. The heavy, wet snow caused widespread tree damage. It also downed several power and phone lines. As usual with early season snowstorms, there were dozens of accidents along the Wasatch Front. Hunters in the mountains were unable to hunt during the storm due to the wind chill temperatures and low visibilities. The highest snowfall amounts: for the northern mountains the Alta Ski Resort had 36 inches, in the southern mountians Brianhead had 20 inches, the Bountiful Bench had 14 inches, and finally West Valley City received 6 inches.
