Along with the snow came strong cold north winds of 15 to 30 mph, lowering visibilities to near blizzard conditions at times. Wind chills were from 30 below to 50 below. Some schools were closed or started late the 27th along with some activities canceled. A few snowfall amounts include, 4 inches at Sisseton and 2S 3W Elm Lake, 5 inches at Aberdeen, 5W Long Lake, Redfield and Britton, 6 inches at Webster, 3E 4S Veblen, Eden, and Frederick, 7 inches at Mellette, 8 inches at Tulare and 5NNW Milbank, and 11 inches at Wilmot. |
