As the front crossed the Colorado border, strong winds spread a fire near the town of Ruleton damaging a railroad track, power pole, and a patch of farmland. During the early evening hours, a line of thunderstorms developed along the cold front as it moved east of U.S. Highway 83. The line of storms produced up to 70 mph wind gusts in Hill City and up to nickel sized hail across Gove, Sheridan, Decatur, and Graham counties. |
