The fires burned a total 3,514 acres in Clearwater and Latah Counties before all fully contained by August 14th. There were no injuries or structures lost. Numerous campgrounds, forest areas, and hiking trails were closed. The cost of the firefighting resources required to contain the fires was calculated at $10,305,160. |
