| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | Abnormally dry conditions along with critical fire weather conditions resulted in a significant wildfire in Texas County which consumed about three hundred acres. Southwest winds of 25 to 30 mph with gusts to 35 mph and humidities below ten percent led to extreme wildfire behavior. |
| Event narrativeevent_narrative | The Texhoma Command Fire began about nine miles east southeast of Griggs Oklahoma in Texas County around 2025CST. There were a total of five fire agencies that responded to the wildfire including the Guymon Fire Department, Texhoma VFD, Goodwell VFD, Yarborough VFD, and Stratford VFD with multiple brush units and tankers. The large grass fire burned in high CRP grassland and consumed an estimated three hundred acres. It was determined that the cause of the wildfire was from an incendiary device. There were no reports of any homes or other structures threatened, damaged or lost by the fire and there were also no reports of any injuries, near misses or fatalities. The wildfire was contained around 0000CST on October 12. |
