Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeThe Blue Creek wildfire began around 1300CST about seven miles north of Lake Meredith in Moore County. The wildfire consumed forty-three hundred and fifty-five acres. There were no homes or other structures threatened, damaged, or destroyed by the wildfire. There also no reports of injuries or fatalities. The Texas A&M Forest Service along with the Skellytown VFD, the Cactus Fire Department, the Dumas Fire Department, the Fritch VFD, the Borger Fire Department, the Stinnett VFD, Potter County Fire-Rescue, the Sunray Fire Department, and the Turnersville VFD responded to the wildfire. The cause of the wildfire was investigated but undetermined. The wildfire was contained and controlled by 1400CST on July 17.
