The fire necessitated evacuations for parts of Monterey County. The evacuation notices were lifted several days later. The Coyote Fire broke out a couple of days later in nearby San Benito County destroying a few structures and also prompting evacuations. Smoke from both fires made its way into the Bay Area. |
