episode_narrativeThe 287 Wildfire began about four miles south southwest of Groom Texas in Armstrong County around 1445CST. The wildfire was caused by an incendiary device. There were reports of one home threatened by the wildfire but was saved, however no homes or other structures were destroyed. There were also no reports of any injuries or fatalities. The wildfire consumed four hundred and seventy-seven acres. The Texas A&M Forest Service responded to the wildfire which was contained around 0600CST April 19.
