episode_narrativeWindy conditions during the afternoon of October 17th spread a number of small wildfires in north Idaho. Several of the fires were caused by previously completed burn piles which were not properly extinguished. One fire was sparked by blowing tree branches creating arcing electrical wires. This fire spread into structures and destroyed 5 automobiles and a barn. Local observations recorded wind gusts to 44 mph during this wind storm.
