During the first and second week of August smoke from wildfires in British Columbia caused air quality to drop into unhealthy levels at numerous recording sites in northern Idaho. A cold front brought relief to the region on August 14th. During the last week of August another round of dense and widespread smoke infiltrated the region from fires in Oregon.
