episode_narrativeThe Pine Ridge Wildfire was started by lightning on Sunday evening, July 26th, at about 5:45 PM and was located on the Crow Indian Reservation in South Central Montana. The wildfire burned approximately 1,700 acres after burning fiercely westward through grass and sagebrush toward the Little Big Horn River from its start north of Gas Cap Hill. The fire grew about 60 acres the afternoon of Monday, July 27th, as 56 mph winds accompanied a passing cold front, and was fully contained on July 29th.
