The fire burned 26,000 acres through very steep and rocky terrain. Three fires were in the San Poil River Valley approximately ten miles north of Keller. The fourth fire was twenty miles north of Nespelem. |

The fire largely burned through timber, grass, brush, litter, and heavy slash that resulted from a local wind storm in 2012. Approximately 150 homes and 90 other structures were threatened by this fire and Highway 21 was closed for over a week. |
