| episode_narrative | This human caused fire became known as the Woodenshoe Fire. It was ignited in the Dark Canyon Wilderness area of the Manti-La Sal National Forest. The fire consumed 500 acres of mixed conifer trees by the end of June and continued burning into July. See the July 2003 Storm Data publication for a continuation on this fire. |
