During the first few days of November, the fire injured another 23 fire fighters, consumed another 4445 acres, and destroyed another: 39 residential, commercial, and/or industrial buildings; 4 accessory buildings; and 54 vehicles, travel trailers, boats, and/or tractors. These figures are in addition to the October 2003 Storm Data on the Cedar Fire. This fire became the largest in recorded history of the state of California with a total of 280,278 acres consumed. The total property damage was an estimated $1.06 billion, the total confirmed fire related fatalities 14, the total number of injuries 113, and the total cost of fighting the fire $30,159,235. |
