| episode_narrative | Drought conditions resulted in very dry brush and woodlands. This allowed a fire which was started by human activity near Seneca Rocks on March 10th to spread rapidly. It burned 87 acres of mainly private land before being brought under control on the 15th. A small portion of Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area was scorched by the fire. Officials reported $10,000 damage to hiking trails in the park. The fire was finally extinguished on March 18th. |
