This fire continued to spread northward through the early weeks of July and eventually scorched 24,900 acres along the Piedra River and Weminuche valleys until being deemed fully contained by July 27th. Structures were threatened during this time frame but none were lost.

Twenty structures, including outbuildings, were threatened but not lost during this fire. Several road and recreational areas were closed due to the proximity of the fire.
