The location was Highway 58 East of Tehachapi (Kern County). The size was 1428 acres. Containment was reached 7/19/12 at 1800 PDT. There were no fatalities. Two structures on a family farm were destroyed, as was a beloved cultural landmark, locally known as SS Minnow, which was on display along Highway 58 just east of Tehachapi. |
