event_narrativeA large brushfire developed six miles west of Marshfield in Webster County along Highway 38. Nineteen fire departments and other resources were sent to fight and control the brushfire. The fire consumed about 400 acres and destroyed one house. Nine outbuildings, two pick-up trucks, and a boat were also destroyed. One fire fighter sustained second and third degree burns. No information was available about how the fire started.
