episode_narrativeThe Dahl Fire was a lightning caused fire and was first reported at 1245pm on Tuesday, June 26th. The fire was fueled by high temperatures, low relative humidities and gusty winds. The fuels consisted of grass, sage and timber (ponderosa pine). The fire burned approximately 22,045 acres. Seventy three homes and hundreds of other structures were destroyed in the fast-moving blaze. The fire was contained on July 3rd. The cost in fighting the fire was roughly $2,550,000.00.
