episode_narrativeFive grass fires in Coryell County began in the latter part of August and burned into September. The Coryell Complex, Horseshoe Bend Fire, and Jack Mountain Fire were all contained during September. The Pilot Knob Fire and Robinette Fire were not contained until October. event_narrativeThe Jack Mountain Fire began on August 30th and was controlled September 14th. The fire began in the Jack Mountain impact area on Fort Hood and burned approximately 3700 acres. The fire was believed to have been started by artillery training exercises, and the only damage reported was to two power poles.
