episode_narrativeThe Locust Grove Wildfire began thirteen miles west northwest of Glazier Texas in Lipscomb County around 1500 CST. The wildfire consumed an estimated nineteen thousand and two hundred acres. The wildfire threatened forty-five structures which were saved, however another structure was lost. There were no injuries reported. The wildfire was caused by downed transmission lines. The fire department reported that county blades were used to stop the head of the wildfire at Texas State Highway 305 and the wildfire was contained around 2000 CST on February 28.
