episode_narrativeThe Antelope Wildfire continued to burn in early October as unseasonably warm and dry conditions persisted. The fire spread to about 5,510 acres by Wednesday, October 6, after growing by over 1,000 acres during the previous three days. Very slow growth continued before snow came to Yellowstone National Park on October 24 and 25, effectively ending the fire. This was the largest fire within the park's boundaries in 2010. More information about the origin of this wildfire is contained in the September 2010 Storm Data publication.
