episode_narrativeAn 80-acre brush fire in the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision in Kau destroyed two homes, apparently vacant, before being contained. The blaze was reported about 3 PM on the 10th. Shortly after the fire was reported, 50 residents from 30 homes had to be evacuated as a precaution. The blaze was officially contained at 7:20 PM. The residents were then allowed to return to their homes by 8 PM.||Besides the two houses destroyed, two vehicles and an agricultural building were consumed by the blaze. There were no reports of serious injuries. The fire was caused by a resident's barbecue that got out of control. Damage estimates were not available.
