episode_narrativeA wildfire started near Farm to Market Road 1151 about eight miles south southeast of Washburn around 1430 CST in northwest Armstrong County. The wildfire spread between County Roads 6 and 8 before being contained about 1600 CST. The wildfire broke out between Claude and Washburn and crept to within eight miles of the western city limits of Claude. Fire departments from both Washburn and Claude responded to the wildfire. No structural damage and no injuries were reported. An estimated seven hundred acres were consumed by the wildfire which was determined to have been caused by brush pile burning.
