episode_narrativeAn additional unrelated wildfire occurred On October 23rd in Gloucester County. A wildfire started on that afternoon in the Winslow Wildlife Management Area in Monroe Township near the border with Camden County. The Black Horse Pike (U.S. Route 322) was closed, but no homes or businesses were threatened. About 30 acres were consumed before the fire was extinguished on the 24th. The peak wind gust on the 23rd from the Atlantic City International Airport was 26 mph from the northeast. Through October 24th, the month was very dry as only 0.16 of an inch of rain fell at the Atlantic City International Airport in nearby Atlantic County.
