They started this day around 4:00 PM, but no resources were directed to this fire until July. It was still burning at the end of September, and consisted of the Anthony Milne, Caribou and South Ukonom fires. As of 09/25/08, the fire was 50596 acres in size and was 86% contained with an estimated containment date of 09/30/08. Updated expenditures were not available, but as of 08/31/08, 13.8 million had been expended in fire fighting efforts. The 09/25/08 update was the last one issued for this fire. |
