Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeThe Vereda Blanca Wildfire was discovered August 8th in the Northeast Mt. Taylor Ranger District. Very dry conditions coupled with elevated winds allowed the fire to grow to 1,000 acres by August 10th, reaching a total size of 1,307 acres by August 13th. The fire was located northeast of Mt. Taylor along steep mesas right along the western border of Sandoval County. There were no reports of damages given the remote location of the fire.
