Red Flag conditions were observed with relative humidity as low as low as 20% and winds 10-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph when the fire started. Two apartment buildings at the Silverado Apartment Complex were destroyed. The American Red Cross assisted 150 displaced apartment units (the number of people affected was unknown). Apartment buildings 9, 10, 11 and 12 were without power. The burned 37 acres before being brought under control on the 10th.
