It is about 20 miles northeast of Glide, and 5 miles north of the Steamboat Creek junction at Highway 138. It is burning in steep terrain in the Chilcoot Ridge area and headwaters of Hipower Creek. As of 0530 on 10/02, it had burned 1,940 acres, was 82% contained, no structures had been lost, and it had cost $ 25.3M.
