| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | The Bent Willow Fire in Potter County ignited the afternoon of April 4 under extreme fire weather conditions. The fire was actively burning in grass vegetation with rapid growth and high resistance to control as a result of the high wind speeds, low relative humidity and critically dry grass.||County and local fire departments are responding to the fire in addition to Texas A&M Forest Service and the agency is in unified command with Potter County. Texas A&M Forest Service is responding with personnel, heavy equipment such as bulldozers and motor graders, engines, hand crews and single engine air tankers.||Evacuations were issued for residents in Park Circle, Riviera Park and areas North of Givens and west of Highway 287. Highway 287 Northbound was closed for a period of time due to this fire. ||Total Acres 8,118 and cause was unknown. |
